The Chappell Centre is open Tuesday to Friday, from 9.30 am with last orders at 2.30pm serving snacks, hot and cold drinks and light lunches.
Opportunities for Volunteering at The Chappell Centre
Our exceptional team of dedicated volunteers is key to the running of the Chappell Centre.
We are grateful for their time, skill and commitment.
Would you like to join our friendly team? Do you have a few hours to spend in the morning or early afternoon? We would especially welcome anyone who would be willing to prepare drinks and light snacks. Training will be provided. To find out more about what is involved call in and speak to Andrea or Emma.
Here are some of the ways our volunteers contribute:
Baking
All of our home made cakes are baked on the premises. Monday morning is our regular baking time, but we usually top up during the week.
Care Of The Building
Cleaning, general maintenance, gardening. . . . these functions go on regularly behind the scenes. We would soon notice if they didnt happen!
Admin Support
Help with accounts, website, Facebook. . . . we really need the IT experts here.
Laundry
Aprons and tea towels washed and ironed.
Opening And Closing
For groups when the Lounge is closed.
Regular Volunteers In The Lounge And Kitchen
Many of our volunteers commit to working a regular day or half day and become part of the team.
Others will be willing to step in when required to cover for holidays or illness.
Reception
This is a seated post to welcome customers and log details for Test and Trace for the duration of the current COVID situation.
